I am thinking of building a killing cone to process some roos and some spent hens within the next while. I would like to know how big the professional manufactured cones are at the top, the bottom, and the length of the cone. If anyone has a cone they made and works well please tell me the same info and I would greatly appreciate it. I will be processing hens and roos from lets say anywhere from 3 lbs. to 13 lbs. thanks,

all I did was go to the local goodwill and find some traffic cones. I cut the top out (the small pointed size) to make it bigger. I did this to 6 cones and made each one a little bigger (opening) than the other. Srewed each cone to a 2x6 and screwed the 2x6 to a tree. Now I have 5 different size cones to work with depending on the size of the chicken. Have not had a problem yet and it works great.

cheap and fast...
