I won't be buying for a year or two, but would like to start the process of finding breeders/recommended hatcheries now. I am looking for standard naked necks only, not bantams. The bigger a list I have to chose from, the better, so please chime in if you raise NNs, or know someone who does. Focus on breeding away from large bowties and towards less feathering is preferred. Thanks! :)

I don't breed, but I love McMurray's NNs. Although, half the ones I've gotten do have big bowties and the other half don't. Their colors are very pretty, I have a buff, red, black, and black with red laced "bowtie", all from one group, since they don't let you choose colors. They have all been very friendly too, even the ones I don't handle much.

I bought 3 naked necks from mcmurray back in April and 1 of them has no bowtie at all and the other 2 have little bowties. All 3 are red color with yellow legs. Alot of naked necks you get from a hatchery they have green legs. But if your really looking for great naked necks I would say Urch/Turnland poultry that's where im gonna buy from next year for naked necks

Thanks guys! I've heard Urch mentioned before, but haven't been able to find any photos of the standard NNs. Definitely will be looking into that and Mcmurray. I was also recommended S & G, and really like what I've seen of their birds. I'll be getting some from them...but am a bit bummed to hear they are hybrids that won't breed true!

Feel free to keep 'em coming.

You can't really pick any color turkens you want from any hatchery sadly. It's all random, but at Urch/Turnland you only get red Nacked Necks for Large Fowl so atleast you know what color you get but the downside is he only has red... But I like red naked neck roosters cause it matches there necks lol.

MsBagawkbagawk how many turkens did you buy from Mcmurray?
