I am so excited about getting my chicken babies I made an egg collecting basket. These are store eggs because I wanted to make sure they fit and it worked wonderfully. They hold in nice and snug.

That's super cute! Do you have a pattern or did you freehand it? Looks like a circle with a smaller one and a handle to hold it all together? I love making chicken 'tools'!

I freehanded it. I used cotton yarn, it was very thick, and nylon cord for the middle in comparison to 4/worsted yarn. It’s a hexagon (hdc for however many rows to cover the eggs) (I think I did 6 rows but it was very thick cotton yarn. It didn’t have a label so I can’t give a size.) with a circle built up in the middle and I pulled each corner up and attached it to the top as I was doing the last row in the circle. Then did the handle attached to the circle. I made a vegetable net too with nylon cord. I don’t have a pattern but I can try to write one up soon.
