I live in SoCal. We have 3 one year old hens that need a home. They are such sweet and curious babies. They are used to being held, touched and babied. They give us an average of 18 eggs a week. I am currently going through a divorce and my children and I are looking to move. Full disclosure: our little world fell apart and I havenāt been able to tend to them very well the last few months. I found bumble foot on Penny and removed it about a week ago. I am still reapplying fresh Bandages daily. They also appeared to have had the beginnings of scaly leg mites, but they are looking good now after treatment. Itās difficult for me to tend to them since my husband left and it breaks my heart. I want them to go to a good home. We love them. Penny is smart, Gloria is a character, and Pheobe, God bless her, is so docile that she lets the other two go ahead of her and is the last to figure out whatās going on. They come when called and know the word ānoā, but Gloria interprets it as āmove slower or be sneakyā. They are all sweet.I am looking to adopt 3-4 hens. I am located in Sacramento, I can drive to pick them up. I had to give away my 2 chickens recently and looking for a new flock.
