Looking to start with 70 meat birds. What is some of the better Hatchery for price and quilty?

You might check out Central Hatchery in Nebraska. They have them for .75/hd plus shipping. I just received 75 from Welp about 2.5 weeks ago. They sent 77 but one was DOA and then lost 3 or 4 more within the first couple of days. This is my second batch from Welp and I just haven't been super impressed. I have raised one batch from Schlect and I was more satisfied with their chicks than those from Welp. I know Welp gets a lot of good reviews on here but I just haven't been as satisfied with them as Schlect or MM. The problem with MM is they are so high. I thought their quality was very good. I tried raising them right in the middle of summer and that wasn't smart but was my fault. Hope this helps.

Yea that helps alot and the price is close enough that is not a big deal. Heck lot of the hatcherys are looking at 2.50 per.

Basically just surf the net for different big hatcheries and compare prices, then compare who's closest.

Welp, Mt. Healthy, Meyer, Cackle, Ideal, Murray McMurray, Privett, -- The most well known ones.
