looking to purchase hens in Northern Oklahoma

I live near Skiatook and would like to add a few hens to my flock of 2.

I dont know if this would be of much help but down south they have the Sulpher dog swap on Sunday mornigs and some people brings some hens and pullets to sale. Maybe theres something like that around Pawhuska or Nowata. I work with a guy who goes all over to buy chickens I will ask him and if he mentions any thing up your way I will post again.

I forget, but I believe every Saturday there is an auction on HWY 412 in Chouteau. You can't miss it...it's just off the highway.

I have one hen for sale but that's about it. She's a Langshan but she's up there in years.

I'm located in Claremore.

I have some mix breed chicks for sale most of them are pullets.
If your interested in them and your up for the drive. Let me know.
Pullets are $5. each or buy them all & I'll make you a great deal.
I have both brown and white egg layers in this mix.

thanks for the replies. I am going to give it few days and watch the posts. I am trying to not drive over 100 miles to be honest...but if I have to... have to.

Believe it or not there is nothing poultry wise in my area as far as auctions or swaps are concerned. I was told to show up in collinsville on a saturday morn at the agg sale building on german corner road but the last time I was there they had little there and what was there was very exspensive. Maybe I hit it on a bad day or something?

They do have chickens usually at the collinsville sale. You have to get there early. It is potluck as to what will be there.
