Thank you Tractor Supply!

Poor things, the kids think they are kittens or something. They are putting them in toy cars, driving them around the house.

Any idea what kind of birds I've got here? Only the more reddish one was labeled as a Rhode Island Red. The others were mixed up.

"Poor things", indeed. You need to protect them from rough handling.

They are not toys. Kids have been known to accidentally... (you know)

No worries. I monitor them at all times. They actually aren't handling them, just sitting them in a car pushing them around, the chicks just sit there. My fear was that the chicks would get cold so the rule is no chicks can drive cars for more than a couple minutes then they have to go home. They don't seem to be in any distress...but don't worry, I'm keeping close watch.

Could the Yellow one be a Buff Orpington? I have a 7 day old chick that is a B.O. and looks exactly like that!

the black one with yellow on the head is most likely a barred rock.

the darker one does definitely look like a rhode island red...the others looke like they may be sex links (red sex links for the lighter one and black sex links for the black ones) i'm pretty much guessin on the sex links cuz i've just now gotten my first red sex links and never had black sex links, but i have had more than my share of RIR's...baby chicks rock!!!

That would be great! I've got one Buff Orpington pullet that I got a while back and I just love her.

I've had nothing but black chicks from my mutt chickens. It is so cool having a multitude of color and patterns
