I've got 4 year old orpingtons here in New Zealand. Summer has turned hot this past week. 3 of the girls are doing an odd middle of summer moult - losing mainly their tail feathers, some butt around the vent, and one has lost all on the crop, and another is bald under the keel.
But also where she's gone bald is sagging skin.

Anyone have any idea what this could be from or have seen it before? It's odd.
Partner says he thinks she's had it before but doesn't remember if it went away (I'm guessing it would have since I pick her up often enough and don't recall seeing it before).
Possibly from being broody at one point?

I managed a few pics today while she was walking around.

They're all a bit sick and have stopped laying (suspected coccidiosis and being treated).

I've seen a very small amount of loose skin on one that was broody and pulled all her bottom feathers out, but not to the extent of it hanging down.

She could be dehydrated. How long have you been treating for coccidiosis? If that's what they've got, they should be eating and drinking more within a couple days of being treated.

About 4 days for the coccidiosis - this one had a very bad case of what we assume was coccidiosis beginning of December. She was in the house with watery green poos for almost two weeks. She seems to be doing better than the others at the moment. We're starting a worm treatment tomorrow in case it's not coccidiosis and we've got some internal parasites.

The girls have definitely pulled out feathers for a brood before, but usually further up on the chest and the skin didn't hang. We have one tiny bantam with them that has previous exhibited ascities like water belly when she was broody, but it went away as soon as the broodiness left - so we assumed it wasn't real ascities and brood related. Didn't leave her with hanging skin though.

IDK, these girls are so confusing.
