Anny opinions very appreciated!
Some of my 10 chicks ages between 4 and 2 wks have runny poo. they are on a non medicated starter grower feed and i keep their food and waterers clean. and their shavi.gs change every othet day. they're all eating and drinking and playing well. what could be the cause and what should i do if anything? Thanks in advance

Are all of their poops runny, or just every once in awhile they have a runny one..because every 8-10 poops will be loose and gross..
Whenever I would see a chick leave a runny poo I would take them out of the brooder for play time, which is sitting on a puppy pad on the couch, or in someone's lap..anyway I would keep them out until they pooped again, and if that second poop was normal I would put them back and worry a little less...so are the chicks in question leaving gross poops all the time, or you have just seen a few runny ones? We are told to be on the lookout for chicks with runny poops, but it happens and is totally normal and as long as most of the poops are normally formed then there is nothing to worry about. Same with adult chickens...

Very good info. I Am ging to take the ones i noticed with the ewy poo and see if i was just the 8-10 thing. there are a good amount of solid ones in the brooder so il just have to keep a closer eye on them I guess. Thank you. also do u know if I Should be feeding medicated feed?
