I bought my first chicks last spring and they've done really well so far. I noticed dried fecal matter on the feathers around one of the hens rectums. Also there was dark brown liquid like stool splattered in the coop. I know their stools vary, I'm just concerned about the "messy rear" I've not seen this any other time. Is there anything else I should be looking for?
