3 golden comets and 3 plymouth rocks including one rooster.
One of the plymouth rock hens is bald on both sholders abouth the size of a quarter and she's loosing her feathers on her back near her tail.
They are all just under 11 months old and none of the other girls are showing the same loss of feathers.
Do you think it is something to be concerned about or is it just probably the rooster being a little rough with her, by the way, she just got over an impacted crop..
ALso, should I be worming my hens? I have never seen evidence of worms on visual inspection of the hens and their poop.

Based on the location of her feather loss, I'd say she's being overused by the rooster. I would order her a chicken saddle (some are made with wing protectors). And I'd watch closely, because if she has THIS much wear on her already, he could break skin...and then you'll have big problems.

Yes, I am sure she is laying. Her eggs are a different color shell thenthe others. A very light beige color. Also when we had her in the house for impacted crop she laid 2 eggs in 2 days.

My chickens are showing almost same thing. My Polish Rooster made a trip to the vets yesterday because his tall tail feathers are gone and he was very bloodied and his once vibrant red waddles were a very pale pink to white and normally crowing a lot quit crowing for two days. Vet said no lice no mites. Tomorrow fecal sample tested. he is in an Elizabethian collar and has been bathed and bag balm applied so the 6 RIR won't pull at his sore area. Doing 100% better today but now three other hens appear to be losing some feathers in the same area. Not sure if it is Frenchy my Polish rooster is to rough when engaging with them or if this is some communal parasite. New to chickens these are 10 months hens are still laying well and eating. Having trouble diagnosing. Storey guide to chickens hasn't helped because these symptoms I can't find anywhere.
Like everyone at this site love my birds and can't seem to find out what will help. Please if anyone can give me a clue as what maybe going on I would greatly appreciate it.
