losing eggs

we have 2 chickens laying on 11 eggs in the same box .cant separate they wont. they keep going in the same one. anyway we checked the box to make sure there were no new eggs in the box and there was 7 eggs that we had marked so we would know which were which .so there were 4 eggs missing then a couple days later there were 5 eggs .now theres 4 and were not getting new eggs at all. where we were picking 9 to 11 eggs a day we have 11 chickens and 1 rooster . what could possibly be happening to the eggs no sign of nothing. the chickens dont make noise to let us know something in there. theres no sign of the egg shells. we also have about 5 chicks that are molting.any advise

Coon usually take chickens before eggs.
Maybe possums, snakes or a 2 legged critter.

I would bet a dollar against a donut that its a rat snake. those things are sneaky and love eggs. Check the area carefully, under everything and all the overheads in the coop. He's on a reliable food source, so he's probably staying close by.
