I have a hen that is almost completely bald now and 2 others that are losing feathers on their heads. Only their heads and necks, nowhere else on body. I thought maybe it was mites but they dust in DE (well it is offered to them). Last night I noticed the skin may be a little red, it is difficult to see since they have black skin. It is weird, they are my only frizzled hens in the flock. I don't think other hens are pulling them out, especially since the bald one is the alpha hen. Any ideas?
