Losing Feathers !!

My year old hens are losing a lot of feathers on their back and are looking pretty beat up. This is not good since I use them for shows. I think it might be from my rooster pinning them down, but i'm not sure. I'm wondering if i should separate the rooster from the hens or if there is some sort of ointment I could use on them to stop the pecking?

I agree, sounds like your rooster is working them over. You can purchase chicken saddles for your hens to protect their backs. They should feather out after they molt.
Inspect them for lice/mites just in case.

I'm having the same problem....I think my Rooster is spending too much time on there back I only have 4 hens Should I have more hens in order to spread the activity out?? I really don't want to separate them but Maybe i need to
