On Monday July 27th, I bought 15 meat birds (mature in 7 - 8 weeks). One got injured, but is recooperating alone in the "hospital", but I have lost 3 birds in the past 24 hours. I cannot figure out why. I have had some with pasty butt, but these birds did not seem to have it. Just to be on the safe side, I have added probiotics to the water. I know that i will lose another since it is bleeding on its belly like it has a tumor or blister. Can anyone help me with why this is happening? My laying hens all lived and are thriving.

are these chicks? do you have them on med starter?
Stress from moving from one place to another can result quite severe symptoms... also meat birds have different dietary regime than other breeds.
Chicks should also not be placed with a group of older birds initially.
