Loss of feathers on Roo

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could give some insight as to what is going on with my roo. His feathers are not growing on this section of his back. It's not that that they are being plucked out, they just will not grow any longer then they are and the feathers are discolored as well.

What breed? Have you checked very diligently for lice/mites? Are you sure its a roo?

Frizzle, we did find lice around the neck area. Could lice be causing this? Yes, definitely a roo.

Yes lice could cause that. I would get some Sevin Dust and dust your birds.

definitely make sure your birds have plenty of areas to dust bathe
