Loss of feathers!! please help!!

Please help! two out of my three hens have lost their feathers from their breast to there legs,( a strip at the front).
Ive checked for lice but cant see anything, are mites etc hard to see?? what do i do??

Could they maybe be broody? because some hens pull out their breast feathers to line their nest with them!

Sounds like they are molting.. how old are they

they are about 17 months old

Post up some photos of them, it sounds like they are just going threw a molt.

I have all kinds of chcikens some molt real hard like Kung fu henny

Others molt a little at a time
