She had been sitting for several hours & didn't even move when I walked into the coop. Went back in to collect eggs, she was dead. Her insides came out when she passed the egg. This was her first yr laying, so could use been her first egg. Never lost a bird passing an egg, but I always hear others talk about it. Was sad, she looked so peaceful. I hatched out some purples last yr plus ordered some purples from strombergs so not sure where the bird came from. Guess this season I need to tag my birds so in the future I will know.
