Hey guys I need your advice! I received a chicken through the mail while I was at school. My parents took the liberty of trying to put him in the coop and well now we have a loose chicken, that has been trapped in a box for 2 days and is new to the area. I threw scratch and corn all through the yard and I've searched every tree, every bush and every hole within a mile of my house. He is male so my thought right now is try and wait until morning and see if i can trace him down by his crowing. Please if anybody has any ideas or hints to get him back please let me know!

Also once I do find him, I have no net or anything to catch him with. My plan was to kind of use to towels to make a wall around him and corner him. Any better ideas out there with just household supplies!

I assume you have hens and we are talking about a mature bird. If that is the case you have a good chance he has not gone far. You may even find him by the coop in the morning. If you plan on catching him with a towel I want to watch. Should you find him by the coop just feed him and try opening the door he might walk right in.
