Overnight my temp got up to 107 and all my little eggs that were due tomorrow or the next day died. I lost 4. I just don't get this incubator. I've had it set on the same setting for over a month now and it just decides to heat up like that for no reason... not the first problem I've had with it but I'm so bummed. I started to gently crack open the eggs to hopefully catch some movement or something... nothing. They were all dead. One was a late quitter but the other 3 were fully formed and ready to hatch. But one was facing the wrong way. Not sure if it could have hatched by itself.

Luckily, I still have about 20 in the incubator that are on target for their respective ages... and one is a set of twins... but man, what a bummer. I was so excited about this bunch because they all moved around so much and looked so healthy. So, last week I got one gosling to hatch, (my first) and another that died in hatch... this week, I lost 4. Praying that next week is better. I only have 2 for next week.

My one gosling is doing well... poor thing has no siblings yet and is getting really attached to me.

Towards the end when ready to hatch the chicks in the eggs and later themselves will help the temp to increase in the LG sometimes in the older bator we have, the same happens never have I had one go up that high up. I'm sorry about your loss. But I would take that thing list it on ebay or craigs and add a little extra cash to get a bator they have come along way.
