Lost feathers

our rooster is jumping a few hens and I need advice on what to do. He hates being separated from them. Help please
Well if he is Just being a Rooster----do nothing. If he is being really mean to them other than the normal rooster ways----Put him in a pot and get a more gentle one.

Some roosters are just To Ruff, then to some new chicken owners---to see a rooster grab a hen that is really not wanting to be bothered---she hollers a little then he breeds her---new owners might think he is to ruff----but really he is not. You can tell when they are to ruff.

He has picked 5 out of 13. He's an Australorpe. Do I need to get rid of him?

Or the first... It depends on which is the better rooster in general. I had a lot of that "competitive gang rape" style mating going on and luckily I managed to offload about 15 cockerels this past weekend and things have significantly calmed down, much to the relief of me and the birds. A few of the males left behind were culprits of bad behavior last week and now perfectly well mannered.

ETA If I had not been able to rehome them they would have been going in the freezer but I was more than happy to send them off to nice homes via a chicken swap instead. As it was, their mating initiative was huge but they were not yet to the point where butchering would be worthwhile, as far as size was concerned.
