Lost my favorite baby.

I lost my favorite chicken the other day, she was only about 7 months old. I went out in the morning to leave for work and she was just laying there. Nothing got to her and she was fine the night before running around the yard with the others during their free range time.

She was my special baby, an EE bantam.

So sorry to hear about that Aimee. She sure was a cutie. I like the color. That happened to me once with a beautiful partridge silkie rooster. Never did figure out what happened. He showed no signs of illness, just went to the coop one morning and he was dead.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Once in awhile that happens. It must have been so upsetting to just find her like that, with no warning. If they're old or have been sick, you kind of prepare yourself for them passing on. She was a very pretty girl. What a sweet face she had.
