Lost my first hen to a predator )=

When I opened the coop Friday morning to let the girls out,
missing was my favorite, the Black Cochin Mrs. Bloomers.

Her 2 chicks came to my feet and that's when I realized she
was gone. Have been bummed all weekend ~

Set your traps and game cams and find the culprit, or he'll be back.

I am very sorry too... maybe check for any oepn holes in gate/wire coop? Please check out http://www.niteguard.com if you follow directions these really work. no more breakins for me... good luck and sorry for your loss

oh that's terrible.. i know how you feel i lost 5 hens while out of town. my husband didn't lock them up before dark,, he was at the store and tried to hurry back but it was too late.. my black cochin also was hurt and later died. i also lost my little bantam roo and his mate i had for 3 years and my my easter egger ethel who was almost 4 years old. i cried so hard..

i know my husband felt terrible.. now we are afraid to let them out.. sorry for the loss..
