Lost my little "Izzy" today :(

Came home and went to give my girls their lunch and found my little Izzy mangled. I don't know if a hawk killed her and the other hens tore her up or if one of the Tom turkeys killed her. They have never shown any aggression at all toward the hens but you never know. I don't like that theory or the hawk theory. I have an electric fence so I don't suspect a cat or a dog during the day. I will miss her, she was a blue silkie

Oh, I'm so sorry! I've lost many, and it always hurts.

A farmer friend of ours, who had turkeys and chickens in the same pen, was loosing chickens and couldn't figure out why. Then one day she witnessed one of the turkeys kill a chicken. Maybe that's what happened.
