We had quite a snowstorm. 16” of wet snow, impassable road- lots of trees down. The hoop coop collapsed inward to a great degree by the time I hiked from the main road. I was concerned a fall or the cattle panel smacking their head
No apparent injuries on the 20 birds in the coop. But there was a lot of fresh blood. The photos are day after. There are quite a few 12 week old cockerals in the coop, they are not very aggressive. Less so than ones I’ve had prior
I have had mice issues and wonder if one or more was flushed out and couldn’t escape due to the snow.
Thoughts, maybe a vent issue? They’ve hit the early winter slump? I didn’t deeply examine vents.
