Love, my BO, laid her first egg, on Valentine's Day! 🥰 The coincidence is so cute, as is the egg. (She waited long enough -- she's 27 weeks old!)

Congratulations. But for a buff Orpington that is the shorter side of the amount of time it can take them to lay. I read that they usually lay between 6-8 months.

Congrats! Two of my ladies starting laying in the last week. My Australorp Raven and my White Easter Egger Snow. They are both 5 1/2 months old. Yesterday Raven laid & Snow gave us her first pastel green egg (it was -4 F outside!!)

I love the names Raven and Snow! Is your EE white? Mine lays pretty blue-green eggs, too!

Yep all white Easter Egger. Here's a pic. Snow doesn't like to be held but she is friendly and sounds like a duck sometimes

Wow! Snow is beautiful! Mine will come on my lap to be petted, but she's never the first one there. The BO is the one that sounds like a duck, and waddles like one, too, when she runs!
