I've had my two little geese for about a week, so they are about a week and a half old. I absolutely love them! I now understand where the phrase "silly goose" came from. They are chinese white, and I've heard they aren't the friendliest geese, but I'm hoping these will turn out sweet.

I am amazed at their swimming abilities! They look just pathetic when wet, but they fluff up lovely when dry.

They are so adorable! I just hatched a few chinese geese from my adult geese. Some are rather disgruntled against people but hand raising them always turns their kinder nature on in my opinion :).

They're adorable

I know, right?! I can't get over how cute they are! Ling snuggles right up to me, and Zing zips around like a crazy goose.

We're going camping this weekend, and I guess they'll have to go with us, because they aren't big enough to go in with the ducks. :)

I love your avatar, and love the video too, they are precious. Have fun camping with them

Your goslings are adorable. I have two embdens and they dont swim. They just sit in the tub and soak up all the water like sponges while the ducklings zoom around them in circles. Its really funny.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the video. I never tire watching little animals.

That avatar picture...you know how sometimes you see a picture and it's not really what was happening? Well, in this case, that picture actually shows what was happening! Ling was snuggling up to my leg, and had put her little teeny wing over my leg to snuggle even closer. My heart just melted.

I hope their peeping doesn't drive us crazy while camping. A few weeks ago, we had two baby turkeys with us camping, and they just peeped and peeped. The only thing that made them settle down was holding them and rubbing their little feet. Since then, we lost one of the turkeys, and I was so glad we had (impulsively) gotten the geese, which meant our remaining turkey wasn't alone.

So this trip we'll have the lone turkey (Ting) and the geese (Ling and Zing). Our two dogs always go with us. Should be a riot.

I have a pair of chinese geese and they are friendly the female is a little nippy as its breeding season but i also have two babies an i love when i pick them up they peep
