I
had one of these years ago and absolutely loved it!!
There was simply no waste and I don't know if it was the fact that it was a couple feet off the the ground the hens did not peck at each other while feeding. Just not willing to pay the asking price here.

When I had to move from old place I gave it to the person who bought all my chickens, still kicking myself for not keeping it or at least selling it, Oh well, live and learn.

I SO agree. I got my first one at a farm auction 20 years ago. Ended up selling it when we moved and no more chickens for awhile. This past year I found one in great shape at a local livestock auction for $25.00.

Saw another one last week, but it wasn't in the best shape, definitely well-used. You can build them.

They are great, especially for a larger flock. We've got several that are about eight feet long that sit high up like that. Part of the family's 400 acres here used to be a chicken farm and we have tons of equipment left over from it. We aren't quite that large scale, though. Ours have the offset rollers on the top which make it impossible for a bird to roost on it or even maintain their balance.

I had 2 of those I left at our old house when we moved to the farm, I had flowers in them.................shoulda woulda coulda but didn't take them with us?!?!!
