We have had our RIR's for 6 months It's been awesome to have these (6) girls and (1) guy We've been getting at least 5 to 6 eggs a day for 2 months now and they have quite the personality everyday brings something new from them

Seeing the different personalities of my chickens makes me feel sorry for all of those birds in commercial "concentration camps" who spend all of their time cramped in a tiny cage with 5 others fighting for a turn at the water nipple and watching their feed stroll by on a conveyor belt. Your hens are laying a great amount of eggs which means they are healthy and happy. A commercial egg farm will get 500,000 eggs a day from 3 million chickens. That's one egg per day for every 6 chickens. Makes you wonder. Are you planning on expanding your flock yet? It sounds like you provide an excellent home for your birds.
