Hi!! So we have just started in chickens and it has been quite exciting. Started with a hen and rooster Lavender ameraucana and have since expanded with 5 silkie hens, 2 light brahmas and a Wheatan Ameraucana. The rooster was quite a problem so he has found a great home and we will stick with the girls for now. Learning about natural care is important as well as simple housing arrangements. Haven't had chickens since I was a kid. So it's like learning all over again!! We also have two alpine goats who share space. All seem to be quite happy!! I am so glad to have found this site for guidance and support through our new adventure!!

Thank you all. Since June we have expanded to 54 hens and one little rose comb rooster we named Hef!!!! So fascinating and terribly addicting!!! Love them all though
