low volume/pitch chicken breeds?

i am looking into not simply quiet birds who rarely make noise but birds with low voices, softer rooster crows ect for a project i am doing.

i also want decent layers
of medium size

that occasionally go broody not as broody as silkies

no arguments please =] list breeds that you think have the softest voices.

My White Crested Polish rooster doesn't have a extremely quiet crow, but he rarely crows.
