This is Lucky 13, named as she was the only one that hatched out of 20 shipped eggs from a show breeder in Florida (the number 13 was written on the egg by the breeder). She is a porcelain Silkie.
This was the second set of eggs from the same breeder, packed the exact same way. The first set, 8 out of 16 hatched, one passing shortly thereafter, leaving 7 healthy chicks that are now 2 months of age.
Hoping for more porcelain chicks (only hatched one in the last set of mixed eggs), I received 20 eggs from the same breeder and this little one is the only one that hatched. The air cell was loose and saddled, and after the remaining eggs got removed one by one, this little one hung in there by itself for the last 10 days of incubation. I honestly did not have a lot of hopes this one was going to make it either.
So I get in the situation with a single chick, put a stuffed animal and a mirror in the brooder and went on the hunt to find her some buddies. Found two little ones that were only one day of age that were sold as “Silkies“ on Craigslist. Had to drive 3 hours round trip, but what won't we do for our chickens! These chicks are tiny but are maybe a quarter Silkie at best! No matter, 13 has buddies now and all three are happy and healthy here at one week of age today.
I contacted the Craigslist seller to find out what other breeds of chickens she has, so I can figure out what these two Littles are, she kept insisting they were Silkies so I gave up on it.

Hoping to figure it out as they feather in.
Oh and 13's little crooked toe has straightened out and looks fine now to any keen observers out there!
