Hi. I'm Becky and I'm glad this group exists as I've already used it a lot to answer many questions.
(1)Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm very familiar with chickens etc due to growing up around them somewhat.
This is my personal first flock though!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7 chickens currently...
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 3 bantam old English game
1 bantam frizzle Cochin
1 standard buff orphington
2 standard Cochin
I believe... Still not completely sure due to buying from tractor supply.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like to watch them as they do some funny things. I obviously loved the cuddly chick phase too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love anything vintage and farmhouse so I collect a lot for projects etc. such as distressing furniture.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm an RN, my husband's a firefighter. We have a 12 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. We live in Florida.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
It seemed every question I put into Google... There would be a post in BYC group that I actually would read, so I joined in!
