Lucy laid her first egg this morning! How soon do we need to start oyster shells?

You can tack a small container to the wall of the coop & fill it with oyster shell right now. They will eat it as they need it. Congrats on the eggs.

Thankss, but I don't have any oyster shells right now I have 4 silkys and I think only 1 laid, how long can wait before it will be a problem?
