WooHoo!!
Lulu our lame runt who mostly lives indoors laid her first egg today!!! She had been showing signs of nesting - pulling srings out of the carpet, bunching up her blankets, hiding in corners. Today she started clucking which she rarely does - she coos, purrs, talks to me, but no clucking. Then she stood by the back door to go out and she never wants out. Lately if we put her out she hop/climbs/jumps/flies up the stairs and looks in the back door. She wandered around for a bit but wanted back in because it was cold and snowy. I had made her a box with shredded paper that we've showed her but she wasn't interested. Today she jumped in and spent lots of time rearranging the paper. She stayed in the box for a long time. I was downstairs painting when DH called me up that she had laid an egg. It was a nice size - not too tiny. We treated her to some grapes!! Yeah!!!
