Hello everyone,
I have just recently noticed this bump on the corner of my hen's eye ( just the one)
She always has strange shaped eyes ever since she was a pullet she is now 1 and a half. But just noticed this lump pop up and not sure if its something to take to the vet for? Treat at home? Or its fine. She is also growing in her new feathers so not sure if they can get ingrown feathers at all?
I have attached a photo of it
Thank you so kindly 😊

She has a bubble in her eye, so I would look for more bubbles or foam. It might be from a peck wound, but it could be an early sign of a respiratory infection, just hard to know.

Thank you for your reply. I will be definitely keeping an eye out for more bubbles or foam. the weather has been awfully cold where i live. Would it be best taking her to the vet? Or could there be something i could give first to see how she goes? Thank you :)

I don’t take mine to the vets but try to treat myself. Some antibiotics such as Tylosin powder for the water may still be found online through jedds.com. That will treat MG, but most antibiotics will be vet prescription only after next month. I would watch it for now, but if you have a vet who really knows about chickens, you could always go.
