I have 6-10 week old Midget White poults. This morning I noticed a bump on the side of this little ladies chin. Has anyone seen this before? My hens get swollen faces from insect stings but this isn’t from a bite. It’s on the inside, not the outside. Otherwise, she’s looking great. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! IMG_2301.jpeg

Does it feel hard, fluid filled or air filled?

I considered that. I felt it again and there may be a very small harder spot under the fluid. Do you think that I should still try to drain it?
The small harder spot is likely pus. In poultry, pus gets hard.

I would try to drain any fluid. Getting it to bleed a little can sometimes be helpful in speeding the healing process.

I was able to lance it and get some pus out. Do you have any ideas about what could cause this to happen? They free range in my garden and backyard.
