Mabey I'm impatient

Idk mabey its me but I've had my chickens for over a week now they seem happy but when I bought them the guy said they were already laying... Not seen anything. Idk there age but what is the chance I got chicken who don't lay eggs? Or what can I do to help?

Chickens get stressed when moved to new places. They stop egg production when stressed. They should begin again in two weeks so any day now.

..and if they are over a year old they may be getting ready to molt.
