I'm currently hatching a second batch of my own eggs and even though I try to make it fool proof by adding instructions into my calandar, I misread it Wednesday and thought it was time to lockdown when it was really next week. Yesterday I noticed my error and thought if I already ruined them due to the higher humidity and not turning, but when I cracked one open (shells too thick to candle) the embryo was still alive and moving. So I but the rack back in and lowered the humidity.

I was going to throw them out thinking I ruined them but that wasn't the case, so don't panic if an error is made, just correct it and wait.

Going into lockdown after day 12 isn’t going to hurt anything, not turning at all will cut your hatch rate in half but you’ll still hatch eggs. Dramatic humidity shifts won’t hurt anything (just not during pipping!). What will tank your hatch is heat spikes (103.5+) or several hours of cold, otherwise eggs are pretty forgiving.
