Somebody posted this http://www.plamondon.com/brooder.shtml brooder design and yesterday my DH and I made it and today we moved the babies. This is very nice as I have a 12x12 stall that I was using a water trough for a brooder which I still will use for the first week. This way the chicks can run all over and explore the top is pretty neat for them to sleep on too it does get warm I'm using 2 100 watt landscaping bulbs if it was cooler I would use the 125 ones. The best part is I didn't have to buy anything all it took was one sheet of plywood and we cut up a 2x6 for the rest.
