Made our first batch of Walnut Stain today!

We have two Black Walnut Trees, and during October we collected more than 500 nuts that fell on the ground.I soaked them in water for two weeks, and boiled down 1/3 of the batch today. It yielded 12 quarts of beautiful stain! Totally psyched! Sample on right half of board:
