Magpies

Just curious to how many people have magpies/ And are breeding them? I have Magpies and Khaki Campbells, but am playing with the idea of breeding the Magpies. Curious as to how many of them are out there. I got my ducks from a local feed store, but have had some trouble finding other sources (other than Holdereads and Sand Hill).

I have a breeding flock, but I've never bred them (they matured last winter & I've had a rough year this year). They are quite rare. Mine are Holderread and extremely beautiful. I don't know anyone else who is breeding them, either, but I wish there were more breeders. People ask about them all the time, astonished at how pretty they are. Nevertheless, I'm not having much luck selling them (I am limiting myself to a single breed & sticking with Runners), because people don't really know what to do with them.

I'm curious too, as to how many magpie breeders there are on these boards, and what their experiences have been with maintaining quality color.
