I am ordering Blue Wheaten Ameraucana (exhibition quality)hatching eggs, 2 dozen (1 dozen from 2 different people). Or at least I want to but dh won't sign off on it until I have someone lined up to take some if they all hatch. We have had mixed hatching experience with shipped eggs. 3 out of 8 in one and 7 out of 8 (so far, still in bator). So if it is a successful hatch we can't keep all of them, we have a 25 limit in my town and already have some chickens. So the question would be - Is there anyone near the portland area (or willing to drive there) that would like some free blue eggers and at least 1 roo?

If you post this in the chicks for sale section you might get a better response. Or try the Where are you section under Maine. Those are going to be lovely chicks-wish I could take some!
