Make a hen broody

I want to make my hen broody. Is a good way to do that leave the eggs in the nest box and not collect them. She is 5 months old. Is she not old enough to go broody.

There is no way to "make" a hen go broody.

She sounds pretty young and would need to be laying first AND she'd need to be breed that goes broody. Most hatchery strain/production birds don't want to sit at all...if ever. Plus, with the days getting shorter and cooler, she might be more interested in trying this next summer...
