Making money with poultry.

I love chickens! but I found that it is pretty easy to lose money with them. Does anyone have any ideas of how to make money with poultry?

I sell hatching eggs on here and ebay. I've been selling welsummer and black copper marans eggs for more than a year and I have paid off my truck loan with the exrta money and working on paying off my atv loan next.

DD hatches eggs for others. 50c a chick, think that is the only profitable thing we do poultry related.
