Hello,
I was looking into mixing my own feed for my chickens. I found the following recipe online that I think could work.
4 cups oat groats
4 cups BOSS
4 cups hard red wheat berries
4 cups soft white wheat berries
2 cups triticale berries
2 cups millet
2 cups sesame seeds
1 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup brewer's yeast
1/4 cup kelp granules
Does this sound like a decent recipe? I don't remember where I saw this but it might have been someone on here. LOL
Does it matter if the the ingredients are "hulled vs unhulled" or "toasted vs raw"?
Also is there a nutritional difference between winter or spring for the wheat berries?
I noticed that my girls will not eat BARLEY so I want to stay away from that.
Thanks for any help, Teri
