OK my 7 quail are now four weeks old and I can tell I have 6 females with 1 male. They are coturnix and I was wondering if my male can breed all the girls or if I need to take some of the girls out?

It is possible but not reliable. 1 male to every 4 females would provide a more reliable fertility rate. If you got 1 more male or 2 less females it would be ideal..... or just separate (or cull) 2 of the females so you know which eggs are fertile and which are eating eggs. Many people go 1 male to every 5 females but the more females the more likely you will get some eggs that don't get fertilized.
