So I have 2 Rhode Island reds and they are both about 2 months old and I am suspicious the one might be a cockerel (even though all were supposed to be Pullets) if the one is definitely a roo I need to find a home because I have 4 already, the feathers that are supposed to be saddle feathers look like the darker one though ugggh I'm at a loss here lol
Also I don't know if this helps but when i went to grab the suspected cockerel my thumbs grazed back by the tail and he/she sort of wiggled fluffed up and did the squat that my older girls usually do and then fluffed and shook. And I'm only saying about 2 months because I picked them up at the end of March and they were still fluffs so I guess I can't say how old they are really my other girls started laying at 3 months and I'm not ready for these pipsqueaks to start laying yet
