I have no clue on the breed. What ever the breed is, I am going to assume it's a roo.

Edit: I might be wrong, the comb isn't that red and the legs are also kind of lighy colored

I think that's a backyard mix with one parent having the barring gene. So, Easter Egger mix or just a whatever mix.

If it's 12 weeks, hen, if it's 8 weeks I feel like it's still up in the air.

Fluff out the neck feathers and if they are pointy and narrow, rooster. If they are more rounded oval, pullet.

I feel like I kind of see pointy neck feathers, but the pattern makes it hard to tell for sure.

I agree - pullet. No idea on the breed except that one parent was obviously barred. What a beautiful bird!
