I cannot figure out how to post a pic on here, but how do I tell if my andalusians are actually females? One is mostly black and one is white and splattered with black. The white one has started to crow today. They are both 16 weeks today. Is there a way to tell the difference between a male and a female? I uploaded a pic on here, but have no idea how to put it in my posts. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Well, if it started to crow, it's a good sign it's a rooster

ok...lol....how can you tell they are both males? I was told when I bought them that the person I got them from was 90% sure they were both females....ugh! Oh well...gotta get some more females now....2 roosters and 2 hens arent gonna cut it!

They are roosters because they have large combs and wattles. The girls have combs & wattles, too - only not so big.

Some females have combs and wattles as large as the males. Females of this breed have combs that flop over. However, some males also have combs that flop over due to the mass of the comb, and the base of the comb not being as "thick" as it needs to be.

The way you can tell, is because males of this breed will have darker feathers on top of their bodies. See the dark blue/black feathers that are pointed on the bird's back? Females are supposed to be a uniformed blue color with black lacing throughout their body.
